Placement Fees Terms and Conditions

1. When Fees Apply

A placement fee is payable to SkillsRobin when an employer hires a job seeker who was sourced through SkillsRobin, regardless of employment type or hours.

2. Fee Structure by Employment Type

The applicable fee is determined by the nature and expected duration of the role at the time of placement:

Short-term / Low-hours Part-time Roles — where the candidate is expected to work less than 20 hours a week, or the contract is for less than 3 months:

  • $1000 when they start the job
  • $1000 if they make it to 6 months

Part-time roles — where the candidate is expected to work 20–30 hours a week and the contract is for more than 3 months:

  • $2,000 when they start the job
  • $2,000 if they make it to 6 months

Full-time roles — where the candidate is expected to work 31+ hours a week and the contract is for more than 3 months:

  • $4,000 when they start the job
  • $4,000 if they make it to 6 months

3. Early-Stage Startup Discount

A 25% discount applies to the fees outlined in Section 2 where the hiring startup has raised less than $100,000 in total funding and has annual recurring revenue (ARR) of less than $100,000. This discount applies to both instalments.

4. Payment Schedule

Fees are issued in two equal instalments:

  • First instalment — due upon the job seeker signing their employment contract or commencing work with the employer, whichever occurs first.
  • Second instalment — due once the job seeker has been continuously employed with the employer for six months.

If the job seeker leaves or is dismissed within six months of commencing employment, the second instalment is waived and no further payment will be due.

5. Refund Policy

SkillsRobin will issue a full refund of the first instalment if the job seeker leaves or is dismissed within 30 days of commencing employment, or before the end date of a fixed-term contract, whichever period is shorter. The second instalment is not subject to refund under any circumstances.

6. Role Transitions

If a job seeker transitions to a higher-fee tier (as defined in Section 2) within 60 days of commencing work with the employer, the placement will be reclassified and charged at the rate applicable to the new tier. An invoice for the difference between the originally invoiced amount and the new rate will be issued at the time of transition.

If, at the six-month employment mark, a job seeker transitions from one tier to another (for example, from full-time to part-time, or from short-term/low-hours to full-time), the employer will be liable to pay the placement fee applicable to the tier the job seeker is engaged in at that point. This reclassified fee replaces the second instalment outlined in Section 4, and an invoice will be issued for the applicable amount at the time of transition.
