Software engineer | Developer | Fullstack | Frontend
Building software products that are well designed, technically sound, commercially viable, and genuinely improve people’s lives. Ideally collaborating on a diverse multidisciplinary team that’s low-ego and motivated by purpose, not just profit. I’m drawn to projects that combine mission with strong execution. Lean thinking, human-centred design, and clear strategy to turn ambitious ideas into real impact.
Just as important is how we work. I value teams that are thoughtful, inclusive, ethical, and balanced, where people support each other to thrive together.
Not looking for ongoing/permanent roles at this point in time (if we enjoy working together on a contract basis, we can always revisit this later). No gambling, weapons, or ethically questionable products, industries or companies. We won't be a good match if values are misaligned, if there's significant workplace politics that will impact me or my work, if people are full of BS, or there's a bad workplace culture.
Four years experience as a software engineer working in successful startups, building meaningful products in inclusive, high-performing, agile teams. With a previous career in marketing, I bring a strong product mindset and am good at bridging the gap between technical and non-technical collaborators. I’m a Startmate Women’s Fellow (Spring ’21), Founder Institute alum, SheCodes mentor, and founded my own (unsuccessful) early stage startup - so I understand the challenges of founding a startup.
VC backed Med tech startup
As a software engineer in a multidisciplinary agile team, I built a radiology worklist web app that won a competitive tender against an established incumbent, leading to full adoption across all public emergency departments in Hong Kong. I delivered high-quality frontend features for a critical, real-world healthcare rollout.
I also contributed to three production releases of Annalise’s core AI-powered radiology desktop app, building frontend features and implementing single sign-on. I supported high compliance standards through automated testing, contributing to a product that achieved seven FDA approvals in two years and won the 2023 Good Design Award (Best in Class for Digital Interface).
Growth stage fresh food startup
I delivered end-to-end product features across a complex ordering and operations platform processing over $4.7B annually. I focused on building scalable, self-service features that reduced support burden and delivered increased value to the second side of the marketplace, including integrations with AI and third-party services, and used feature flags to de-risk rollouts to beta users and targeted cohorts.
Growth stage energy startup
I stabilised a product inherited from contractors by introducing a testing strategy, lifting engineering quality, and evolving the team’s ways of working toward more effective agile practices - creating a foundation for predictable, confident delivery.
