Strengths

My key strengths are system-level problem solving, building scalable backend architecture, and translating technical work into real product impact.

First, I’m very strong at analysing complex systems and identifying architectural improvements. For example, at PortPro I noticed our application was repeatedly calling the Mapbox API for location data, which was causing both latency issues and very high API costs. I designed a caching microservice using Node.js, Redis, and MongoDB so that coordinates were cached and refreshed using a TTL strategy. That change reduced our API costs by about 87% and improved response times significantly. Experiences like that taught me to approach engineering problems from a systems perspective rather than just focusing on individual code optimisations.

Second, I’m good at building scalable backend services and infrastructure. I’ve worked extensively with microservices architecture, event-driven processing and cloud deployments. For example, I helped refactor a tariff calculation engine into a separate microservice so it could scale independently from the main application. That improved system throughput by roughly 40% and reduced response times, which had a direct impact on user experience.

Finally, I think one of my strengths is having a product-focused engineering mindset. I try to understand how technical decisions affect the business and the end user. Whether it’s reducing infrastructure costs, improving performance, or designing AI integrations responsibly, I like building systems that are not only technically sound but also create measurable value for the product.

Overall, companies should hire me when they need someone who can design scalable systems, solve complex backend problems, and build infrastructure that supports intelligent, high-impact products.

Interested in working involving

I am looking for a senior or mid-to-senior software engineering role where I can work on building scalable, high-impact products while continuing to grow as a full-stack engineer and system architect. Ideally, the role would involve designing and building distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and microservices, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable production systems. I enjoy working on complex engineering problems such as performance optimization, system scalability, and infrastructure reliability, and I’m particularly interested in environments where engineering quality, clean architecture, and strong development practices are valued.

I am especially interested in companies that are building modern SaaS platforms, data-driven products, or logistics, AI, or technology platforms where software has a clear business impact. I enjoy working in collaborative teams that encourage ownership, mentorship, and continuous improvement. My experience includes building full-stack applications with technologies such as React, Node.js, .NET, AWS, and microservices architectures, and I’m motivated to contribute to teams that are solving meaningful technical challenges at scale.

Other information
One thing I’d like to highlight is that I enjoy working at the intersection of scalable systems and product impact. Over the past several years I’ve focused on building backend systems that handle high volumes of data and requests, while ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. For example, in a previous role I designed a caching microservice that reduced external API costs by about 87% while improving system performance. Experiences like that shaped my approach to engineering — I like analysing how systems behave in production and designing architectures that scale efficiently. I’ve also been exploring AI-driven products through freelance projects, including conversational applications and AI-generated content platforms using OpenAI APIs. Those experiences helped me understand that integrating AI into real products requires strong infrastructure, monitoring, and thoughtful design. Overall, I’m motivated by solving complex technical problems and building systems that create measurable value for users and businesses. I’m particularly excited about opportunities where scalable infrastructure and intelligent features come together to power impactful products.

Proudest professional achievement
One professional achievement I’m particularly proud of was designing and implementing a caching microservice while working at PortPro. At the time, our system relied heavily on the Mapbox API to fetch coordinate and route data for logistics operations. Because we were requesting location data repeatedly, the API costs had grown to around $12,000 per month, and latency was becoming a performance concern for our users. I analysed the system behaviour and realised that many of the coordinate queries were repeated across shipments and routes. Instead of calling Mapbox every time, I designed a caching microservice using Node.js, Redis, and MongoDB. The system would first check the cache for coordinate data, and if it didn’t exist it would fetch it from Mapbox and store it with a TTL of one day to ensure the data stayed fresh. This architectural change reduced our Mapbox costs by roughly 87%, while also improving system response times because many requests were served directly from the cache. What made this achievement meaningful for me was that it combined several important engineering skills: analysing system behaviour, designing scalable architecture, and implementing a solution that created measurable business impact. It also reinforced something I value as an engineer: building systems that are not only technically efficient but also responsible from a cost and operational perspective. Looking ahead, I’m particularly interested in applying this mindset to AI-driven platforms like Instant. Products that process large volumes of behavioural data and generate automated decisions require efficient infrastructure, event pipelines, and reliable systems. Designing scalable backend systems that support intelligent products is the kind of work I’m excited to continue doing.

I'm a Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience building scalable, high-performance web applications and cloud-based systems. I specialise in full-stack development using React, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS, and .NET, with experience designing microservices and deploying cloud infrastructure on AWS using Docker and CI/CD pipelines. I've worked on enterprise logistics and SaaS platforms, building real-time systems, REST APIs, and scalable backend services handling thousands of daily requests.

In my previous role at a logistics technology company, I led a team of engineers, mentored junior developers, and helped establish engineering standards around testing, documentation, and deployment practices. My work has focused heavily on performance optimisation and system scalability, including reducing API costs by over 80%, improving system throughput, and optimising large-scale databases. I enjoy solving complex technical problems, designing reliable architectures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready software.
