Strengths
My key strengths are persistence, curiosity, ownership and practical problem-solving. I am someone who stays committed when a problem becomes difficult. I do not give up easily; I break complex issues into smaller parts, investigate the underlying cause and continue iterating until I find a reliable solution. I am naturally curious and enjoy going beyond the immediate task to understand how a system, dataset or business process really works. This is especially valuable when working with complex or messy data, where I like to investigate patterns, validate assumptions and translate findings into useful products or operational improvements. Working in a smaller organisation has also given me the opportunity to take full ownership of systems. I am comfortable moving from requirements and architecture through development, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring and production support. My strongest technical areas are full-stack engineering, cloud and DevOps engineering, data analytics, and practical AI implementation. I have worked across Azure, AWS and GCP, and I actively explore modern tools such as Supabase and emerging development frameworks in my own time. I am also highly cost-conscious. When designing a solution, I consider not only whether it works, but whether it is maintainable, scalable and financially sensible. I regularly look for simpler architectures, automation opportunities and more efficient ways to use cloud resources. Other than my technical and soft skills, I am also a proud and proactive adopter of AI tools and emerging technologies. I regularly use platforms such as OpenAI, ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Copilot and Google Gemini to support software development, debugging, research, documentation and solution design. I have also explored LangChain, experimented with different AI models and built small proof-of-concept workflows to better understand how AI can be applied effectively in real products. I see AI as a practical engineering tool that can improve productivity and quality when used thoughtfully, and I am always looking for new ways to integrate it into development workflows and business solutions. Companies should hire me for work that requires someone to take ownership, learn quickly and connect multiple technical areas, as well as an adaptable software engineer who is always open in getting his hands dirty by learning, investigating, and deep diving into something new! I do my best work when solving ambiguous problems, building end-to-end systems, investigating data deeply and improving reliability through proactive monitoring. Most importantly, I care about the outcome and give my full effort toward building solutions that genuinely improve the company or project.
Interested in working involving
I am looking for a role where I can take genuine end-to-end ownership, from understanding the business problem and shaping the solution through to implementation, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement in production. I am particularly interested in technically challenging work involving cloud platforms, backend services, data integration, distributed systems and customer-facing applications. I also enjoy combining software engineering with analytics—building data pipelines, working with large datasets and turning operational data into useful insights that support better decisions. From an industry perspective, I am especially interested in renewable energy, the Australian energy market and other sectors where technology can create meaningful real-world impact. My current experience in energy retail has given me exposure to metering, billing, customer data, market processes and cloud-based data platforms, and I would be excited to continue contributing in this space. I am also interested in organisations that use AI thoughtfully to improve engineering workflows and deliver practical business value. Ultimately, I am seeking a role where I can solve meaningful problems, take production responsibility and continue growing across full-stack engineering, cloud architecture, data and analytics.
Not interested in work involving

No, I am mostly flexible and open to almost all challenges and work!

Other information
Outside of my professional work and my 9-5, I enjoy building and experimenting with my own products. I am currently working on side projects such as Daily Clarity (a React Expo application alongside a Next.js website integrated with AI), Sparo (Amplify web application integration with AI context) and Sparrowlabs (A fun project with Next.js that I thought could be the pioneer for a Github, Gitlab, and stock market mixture of a platform), where I explore product development, modern cloud architectures, AI integrations and different approaches to building cool and commercially sustainable software! These projects allow me to continue learning, test new technologies and better understand the full journey from identifying a problem to designing, building and refining a product. I am naturally entrepreneurial and enjoy thinking about how technology can solve practical problems, create better user experiences and deliver measurable business value. I am particularly interested in renewable energy, finance, productivity, data-driven products and the thoughtful application of AI. Outside technology, I enjoy basketball, going to the gym, cooking, drawing and graphic designing! These interests help me stay active and creative, and graphic design has also strengthened my appreciation for thoughtful, user-friendly product experiences. Most importantly, I bring genuine enthusiasm, curiosity and commitment to the work I take on. I enjoy contributing beyond my immediate responsibilities and care deeply about helping the team and company succeed. But what I enjoy apart from work are the new connections and activities we do together!

Proudest professional achievement
A professional achievement I am particularly proud of is independently designing, developing, and delivering the PRISM (Position Reporting for Interval-based Strategy and Monitoring) platform at ZEN Energy. PRISM replaced a legacy ETRM position-reporting system following a platform migration and became a critical decision-support tool for trading, wholesale, sales, finance, risk and executive teams. It provided a consolidated view of the company’s portfolio by combining wholesale hedge positions, generation, Settlement Residue Auction positions and forecast retail load. I owned the solution end to end. Before writing the application, I had to understand how the datasets related to one another, learn the underlying energy-market and commercial context, and gather requirements from teams with different reporting and analytical needs. I then designed and built the backend, data-ingestion and cleaning pipelines, business logic, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD deployment process and the user-facing application in Python. One of the main technical challenges was handling more than 15 years of interval-based data. The original process could take around 15 minutes to retrieve and process more than five million rows. I redesigned the workflow using automated Databricks pipelines and pre-computed result tables, reducing this to effectively real-time access for users. I also created a reusable custom Python package distributed through Azure DevOps Artifacts and integrated PagerDuty monitoring so failures could be detected proactively. The completed platform allowed front-office teams to compare individual load positions against the broader portfolio before executing deals. It was also used downstream by risk teams for stress testing and Earnings at Risk analysis, and by other teams for analytics and strategic decision-making. I am proud of PRISM because I did more than build an application: I turned complex, messy energy-market data and business rules into a reliable product that replaced a critical legacy system. It closely reflects the work I want to continue doing—combining software engineering, time-series data, analytics and energy-domain knowledge to build commercially valuable products.
Systems & Software Development:

Collaborated cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and SMEs to translate business and user requirements into scalable software features and services.

Architected and delivered full-stack microservice applications for business-critical workflows, reducing monolithic deployment risk and enabling independent scaling, release, and maintenance across 10+ services.

Built and maintained RESTful APIs and modular backend components using Python and C# (.NET), emphasizing performance, code reusability, and maintainability. Built reusable frontend components with React, Next.js, and Typescript.

Supported cloud service development on Azure, implementing and monitoring scalable compute, storage, and data services to ensure high availability and reliability. Maintained software and cloud infrastructure using Terraform modules.

Delivered Azure cost-optimisation initiatives that reduced OpEx by 10%, while implementing Azure Monitor and Log Analytics dashboards to improve proactive incident detection and reduce MTTR by ~30%.

Managed a centralised Terraform module library adopted across engineering teams, standardising IaC provisioning and delivering ~$30K in infrastructure cost savings per project.

Created CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, automating build, test, and release processes to accelerate delivery.

Led data reconciliation and migration across legacy and cloud systems, ensuring accuracy and continuity of business logic through SQL scripts and Python ETL workflows.

Implemented Disaster Recovery for critical internal and customer facing apps; performed DR drills and documented results.

Integrated Azure Data Factory monitoring and alerting systems to ensure data pipeline integrity, enabling rapid response to failures and minimizing downtime.
