Proudest professional achievement
A project I’m especially proud of is designing and prototyping a two-player card game that blends creativity and beauty with crisp, well-structured software. I built the core mechanics, rules, and progression systems, experimenting with how player choices, randomness, and constraints can create tension, discovery, and meaningful decisions.
The project became a space where I could combine imagination and design rigor — crafting experiences that feel thoughtful and elegant while thinking like an engineer: managing states, iterating on rules, and testing every interaction. It reinforced my passion for game development and for roles where creative problem-solving and software craftsmanship intersect.
I took time for independent development, learning, and travel from 2025 to 2026. I focused on practical skill-building across React, backend APIs, and product thinking. I built and iterated on small personal projects to strengthen real-world development skills and took time to travel after completing postgraduate studies and reset before entering full-time work.
From March 2023 to November 2023, I served as UI/UX Lead for an offshore geotechnical engineering web-platform at a major Australian university's infrastructure engineering department. I worked with Python, TypeScript, Flask, Vue.js, Node.js, Google Cloud, AntDesign, and Figma. I designed, developed, and documented a web-based application for geotechnics that provides an interface for the calculation of geotechnical formulas, available for researchers and engineers based on peer-reviewed research. I incorporated Python based calculation scripts using Flask into a Google Cloud Backend with a focus on extensibility and modularity, and created a professional and user-friendly frontend using React.js and TypeScript.
From July 2022 to December 2022, I was Product Owner for an academic analysis platform at a defense research institute. I used JavaScript, React.js, Scopus, Vue.js, Node.js, Element+, SQL, and MongoDB. I worked on a web-application to search, parse, present and store information about academic research articles, authors, and institutions. It was a front to back-end application that handles all aspects sans the aggregation of academic articles which is handled by an external service (Scopus API). I developed a graphical display for results using Vue.js with endpoints to access the Node.js backend and query responses from Scopus API.
From August 2023 to July 2024, I was a Full Stack Developer for a music event management system. I used Java, JavaScript, SQL, PostgresSQL, and Render. I employed Java for back-end development, JSP for dynamic web pages, and SQL databases for data storage and deployed on Render. I implemented robust concurrency control through custom offline pessimistic locks, engineered the system for scalability to handle an increasing number of events, venues, and users, and utilized a variety of software design patterns to improve performance and efficiency.
From July 2021 to December 2021, I was a Front End Developer for a personal CRM called My Daily Planner. I used JavaScript, SQL, React.js, Node.js, Material UI, MongoDB, Heroku, and Figma. I worked on a web-based CRM tool to store lists for contacts, meetings, and reminders with web-tokens for user authentication. I designed prototypes prior to implementation in Figma and used the React framework to construct the front-end pages utilising the MaterialUI component library and integrated them with a NodeJS backend.
From November 2019 to March 2020, I was an Engineering Intern at an alumina processing company in Odisha, India. I used the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning during the employer's transition to the software. I logged and implemented development tasks based on system requirements and documented approaches.
