Strengths
What I do best isn't just writing code, it's solving problems around it. At a healthcare startup where I was the primary engineer, I was never only that: I handled customer support, shaped product direction, and did whatever a lean team needed. That range is my strength. I understand the product, the user, and the business, not just the ticket in front of me. I thrive in environments that value ownership and range over staying in a narrow lane, whether that's a startup or a team inside a larger company. Alongside engineering, I've taught coding and worked in sales, which sharpened how I communicate, simplify complex things, and genuinely understand what people need. Above all, I learn fast and love doing it. I moved from a psychology background into software, shipped a production app with 800K+ downloads, and most recently led an award-winning AI capstone, picking up LLM engineering along the way. Give me an unfamiliar problem or stack and I'll get up to speed quickly, and enjoy the process. Hire me when you need someone who takes ownership end to end, communicates clearly across technical and non-technical people, and cares about building something that's both solid and genuinely useful.
Interested in working involving
My strongest stack is Android/Kotlin, so mobile engineering roles are my first preference, but I'm equally happy in full-stack or backend roles (Node.js, React/TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL), and I'm increasingly drawn to AI-focused engineering given my recent capstone work on LLM-powered features. I'm targeting junior-to-mid level positions and I'm open across industries. I have full working rights in Australia with no sponsorship required, and I'm open to full-time, part-time, or contract arrangements. Based in Sydney and open to hybrid or on-site.
Not interested in work involving

Nothing major, I'm quite open. The main thing is that I'm looking for a role where there's a realistic path to growth over time. I'd prefer to avoid roles that are purely short-term with no potential to develop, but I'm flexible and happy to discuss anything that's a good fit.

Other information
I'm open to various possibilities even if it's not a 100% fit, and I always welcome a coffee chat. I currently have full working rights in Australia with no sponsorship required, and I'm open to full-time, part-time, or contract roles, whichever suits best.

I worked with them in the same company in the same team

This individual is a highly skilled Android Developer, who contributed significantly to the development of native Android applications at our company. What sets this individual apart is not only their technical prowess but also their exceptional communication and collaboration skills. In the dynamic work environment, effective communication is paramount, and this individual consistently excelled in fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration throughout the design, development, and testing phases.

Work experience

Proudest professional achievement

The achievement I'm most proud of is leading my UTS capstone, an AI-powered lecture-summary tool that won the People's Choice Award at the UTS Tech Festival showcase. I led a team of four over 11 weeks and designed the LLM prompt architecture and JSON output schema that turned messy, unstructured lecture material into reliable structured data. Getting an LLM to return consistent, parseable output was the hardest part, and it's exactly the kind of work I want to keep doing.

Earlier, as the primary Android engineer on a meditation app with 800K+ downloads, I owned the app end to end, from features and acceptance testing through releases and production support, reporting directly to the CTO. I increased the subscription payment page open rate by up to 86% by redesigning the user journey, and reduced app size by 76% through resource and legacy cleanup.

Together these capture what I care about: building things that are technically solid and genuinely useful.

I'm a software engineer with 4 years of production experience, strongest in Android/Kotlin and increasingly working across full-stack and AI-focused development.

For 3 years I was the primary Android engineer at a healthcare startup, owning a guided-meditation app with 800K+ downloads. In a lean team with no dedicated QA function, I took features from build through release and production support end to end, covering authentication, subscriptions, payments and media playback. I improved the subscription payment page open rate by up to 86% and reduced app size by 76%, while reporting directly to the CTO.

More recently I completed a Master of IT at UTS and interned as a full-stack engineer at a Sydney startup, working with Node.js, PostgreSQL, React and TypeScript. My capstone project, an AI-powered lecture-summary tool, won the People's Choice Award at the UTS Tech Festival, where I designed the LLM prompt architecture and JSON output schema for extracting structured data from unstructured material.

I enjoy end-to-end ownership, work well across mobile and backend, and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical people.

Education

I hold a Master of Information Technology from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), majoring in Enterprise Software Development with a minor in Cybersecurity. I graduated with a strong academic record (WAM 88), was awarded a 30% tuition scholarship and named to the 2025 Dean's List for top academic achievers in the Faculty of Engineering and IT. I achieved High Distinctions across most subjects, including Industry Project, Enterprise Software Testing, Cloud Computing and SaaS, UNIX Systems Programming, and Cybersecurity for Mobile Platforms.

I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and an earlier Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Economics. My background across technology, human behaviour and communication is something I draw on often when building products and working with people.
