Software Engineer

What I do best isn't just writing code, it's solving problems around it. At a healthcare startup where I was the primary engineer, I was never only that: I handled customer support, shaped product direction, and did whatever a lean team needed. That range is my strength. I understand the product, the user, and the business, not just the ticket in front of me. I thrive in environments that value ownership and range over staying in a narrow lane, whether that's a startup or a team inside a larger company. Alongside engineering, I've taught coding and worked in sales, which sharpened how I communicate, simplify complex things, and genuinely understand what people need. Above all, I learn fast and love doing it. I moved from a psychology background into software, shipped a production app with 800K+ downloads, and most recently led an award-winning AI capstone, picking up LLM engineering along the way. Give me an unfamiliar problem or stack and I'll get up to speed quickly, and enjoy the process. My strongest stack is Android/Kotlin, so mobile engineering roles are my first preference, but I'm equally happy in full-stack or backend roles (Node.js, React/TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL), and I'm increasingly drawn to AI-focused engineering given my recent capstone work on LLM-powered features. I'm targeting junior-to-mid level positions and I'm open across industries.
