Strengths
Hardcore
I have around 10 years of experience working in front-end development, my toolkit is both wide and deep and you can reference my resume for more details. Your tech stack is not foreign to me, particularly I have been using React and its related ecosystem as early as 2016, from setting up everything from scratch using webpack/babel etc, to using scaffold create-react-app, and finally leveraging on latest powerful framework like NextJS, thus I am well-versed in avoiding pitfalls and putting into practice battle-tested patterns. I am able to work independently and deliver efficiently. When facing with challenging issues, I am passionate in researching and finding out the best solutions. I am a result-oriented person, I can recall multiple occasions where I worked late until 3-4am in the morning because I was driven to resolve a tricky issue which required digging into some open source repo, or deliver a feature that is not only functional but also with great UX. Moreover, what more important is my lifelong desire to learn technology, that is what keeps pushing me to keep myself updated and relevant in the industry, and enjoy being a developer. Apart from intensive knowledge and extensive experience, what probably makes me stand out is that I have trained to become highly effective in indispensable skills such as analyzing, problem solving, planning, designing, innovating, those I believe that will distinguish an excellent candidate from a good one. For example, throughout my career, very often had I built tools and ui libs to speed up development for teams. Besides being competent individually, I am always available to support the team and for many times that happened during my vacations too. Finally, I take ownership of the feature that I am working on and will do whatever it takes to deliver.
Multi-hat Seniority
Even though my expertise lies in front-end, I have often involved myself in backend development when needed. During my time at Snaphunt, for example, I played the role of a team lead, including guiding backend developer in database design and resolving tricky production issue over the weekend myself; moreover, I also upgraded the entire product release with better deployment practices including CI/CD, approval gantry, system architecture, and so on. Another prime example is when I was with FWD, I designed an RBAC authorization system for the global back office, and I contributed in designing a SaaS product using micro-services architecture. Apart from that, I usually spent time helping teammates troubleshoot difficult problems, sharing with the team my learning in order to help them avoid wasting time on mistakes that I made, and also to learn from them.
Diverse Industry Experience
My profile is special since I have gathered experiences working in a wide range of industries such as Machine Building, Automation, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Marketing, HR Tech, Insurance, Crypto, Environment Sustainability. Because of this, I am familiar with building complex workflows, understanding user and business requirements, and I believe I can bring a fresh perspective to your product. Some example things that I built in the past are marketing pages, blogging system with support for multiple languages, content-management related sites, interactive canvas for creating charts, arranging layout, and generating report, client onboarding, reference check with automated call, and many many more. As a result, I am well-acquainted with building products which is user-focused and relevant, I took time to imagine what a user would love and enjoy when interacting with a product feature; I also put myself in their shoes to actually try what I had built and I also discovered that most of the time what truly brings value are simple and yet impactful, instead of unnecessarily complicated show-off which wastes time and effort.
